The GenKidz did it again!

Last Saturday all roads led to New Kabwata where our gracious hosts Sisters Hub hosted us for our first 2019 Pop-Up Library club. The kids eagerly gathered around and waited for our talented Library and Information Science graduate Librarian Mwaba Mutale to read for them. Ms. Mwaba an emerging storyteller and leader who reads, narrated the tale to the children with enthusiasm taking them on a wild imaginary adventure.

The children were so immersed in the story, taking every opportunity to add their own opinions and insights as Ms. Mwaba read along, she could hardly finish a sentence before an eager voice interrupted her with a comment or a question. We are so very proud of these young and inquisitive minds that we feel it is our duty to make the library pop-ups a frequent and re-occurring event. To this end, we need to secure partnerships with local businesses who share our vision so we can either pop-up at their spaces through our place-making library model or indeed own our premises or both. If you have a space that you feel can benefit from an occasional pop-library or you are a business that wants to support our vision, now is the time to join us on our #GetZambiaReading journey.
